ABOUT THE ART

A beach house, Embleton, Nortumberland. Processed about 5 different versions of this one... Not sure if this is best but it's too late now. In the ongoing battle between colour and black and white colour won on this occasion

I can totally see how you'd be torn between using color and b&w on this one. I think b&w would have made the picture more "mysterious" like a lonely cottage that would appear in a Sherlock Holmes mystery ;-) But with the color you get the amazing contrast between that blue sky and the dark green of the foreground. It's gorgeous, especially those clouds!

Thanks Judith... maybe I should post the B&W version too for comparison. As for the clouds that's just Northumberland. It's my favourite place in the UK and I want to retire there at some point. At the moment I just visit on holiday. The sky is 'bigger' up there and I don't know why
