ABOUT THE ART
Completed in 1883 Brooklyn Bridge connects the New York boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn and spans the East River. It has a main span of 1595.5 feet and was the longest suspension bridge in the world from it’s opening until 1903. It was also the first steel wire suspension bridge. It has also been known as the New York and Brooklyn Bridge and as the East River Bridge and is an iconic structure of New York City. This image is a collaboration between me and my son, Andrew Cooper.
