ABOUT THE ART
In this series, Kara Hamer’s work deals with the fantastic by exploring intangible weather occurrences and their impact on imagined abstract landscapes. She received her MFA from Art Center College of Design.
A Bubble High is a small high, complete with anti-cyclonic circulation, of the order of 80 to 480 km (50 to 300 miles) across, often induced by precipitation and vertical motions associated with thunderstorms. These transitory small highs are relatively cold and are sometimes located behind convective outflow boundaries.
