Canvas Print

karien deroo (karienderoo)

innocence

by Karien Deroo
DESCRIPTION

Fine art print on bright white, fine poly-cotton blend, matte canvas using latest generation Epson archival inks. Individually trimmed and hand stretched museum wrap over 1-1/2" deep wood stretcher bars. Includes wall hanging hardware.

ABOUT THE ART

I made this painting inspired by the image of the French photgrapher Charles Fréger, and my title became "innocence", a little thin slim girl who wanted to go swimming, but the water seems to be a dark dirty mud bath, such as the way some animals, especially birds, can no longer follow their instincts and do what their nature tell them to be, because we made a mess of their environment and turned it into a oilbath, that turned into their deathbed... and they died an innocence death...

your style is so beautiful. Her expression is prolific.

The androgeny of this is arresting.
