Todd Huffine (pegasus515)

Microcosm

by Todd Huffine
DESCRIPTION

Skins are thin, easy-to-remove, vinyl decals for customizing your device. Skins are made from a patented material that eliminates air bubbles and wrinkles for easy application.

ABOUT THE ART

Original painted with acrylic on canvas.

A fractal (repeating self-similar) image that alternates between the feminine (curved lines) and the masculine (straight lines). The colors are repeated in both the masculine and feminine form to show their visual differences but ultimately to show the similarities within the two forms. It is also a demonstration of how the masculine and feminine energies can be contained within one whole and influence each other.

That is really beautiful and I like the explanation. I never thought about straight and curved lines reflecting gender differences but now that I've seen it, I can't unsee it. It seems perfectly logical. I'm curious, is this something you worked out yourself or part of a particular life philosophy?
