ABOUT THE ART
Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life.
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
The notes in the background is one of my notes as I listen to Ravi Zacharias during this 3 days retreat hosted by -the mission- and UPH entitled -Solid Footing- in UPH Grand Chapel on Friday 30th August 2013. On the third day, during signing session, I asked Ravi to sign my notes. He said "Wow".. when he sees this note.. haha... and he signed the notes on an empty blank spot. If you notice you'll see his signature somewhere near at the top right corner kinda near to the middle.
The content of the notes is not related to the title or the verse directly, but someone in the retreat said, someone said if We listen to something and don't share it, We'll remember only 10 percent of it, if you share it, you'll remember 50 percent of it, if you act upon what you've just listen, you'll remember it 100 percent. A few years ago I remember one guy said after preaching his sermon something like this, "they said after a sermon you'll only remember 10 percent of what i just said" or lower i kind of forget the exact number, but he continue by saying something like this as well, " and so if there is anything I want you to remember from this sermon, it is this, keep the fire burning, keep being on fire" something like that. And on Aug 29 2013 I realize is better to accomplish something small well than to do nothing at all. And so... in a way, in this Artwork, I'm sharing what I've learned and experienced in that seminar in a small way and applied what I've listened and learned in the seminar and from that Aug 29 2013 in the process of making it.
The verse I put here is a verse I saw in the Food court walls of UPH and it reminded me of its truth and its importance I've learned few years back about it. That out of the heart flows life, and I better keep it well with all diligence if I am to enjoy the relationship with God and others that God has given me by His Grace. And only with the right heart, can I rightly use the information and knowledge preserved through sharing it for the joy of my relationship with God and others.
