ABOUT THE ART

Explore the amazing island world of St Michael’s Mount
and discover legend, myth and over a thousand years
of incredible history…

Stroll across the causeway where a legendary giant once walked. Follow the footsteps of pilgrims. Boat hop to an island where modern life meets layers of history. Discover a medieval castle, a sub-tropical paradise and a close-knit island community. Delve into the history of a fortress, a priory, a harbour and a home.

Stray from the mainland on foot or by boat and get up close to the beguiling beauty of the castle-topped isle standing proud in Mount’s Bay. Come ashore for a family outing, a tour of the castle or a garden visit. Scale the fairytale turrets for dazzling views. Listen to live music on the village green. Tuck into fresh local food in the Island Café or the Sail Loft Restaurant.

Alexia do you always use digital processing software to create the art prints?
Alexia Miles photography commented on September 16, 2013 1:02pm
only the mist behind
bubblyk commented on September 16, 2013 1:07pm
i see... sorry for my naughty question but i'd like to know are you a professional photographer?
Alexia Miles photography commented on September 16, 2013 1:07pm
no I am still learning.. I have done book covers but still would not call myself a pro :)
bubblyk commented on September 16, 2013 1:13pm
cool! i love your shots...
i'm the novice photo amauter. i try to make pics without using of any digital processing soft. perhaps the captures look boring but their benefit is authentic reality. do you suppose this way to be good?
Alexia Miles photography commented on September 16, 2013 1:14pm
depends on what the outcome you want.. I like playing with software but there is a lot of shots that do not need it.. your shots are great as they are :)
bubblyk commented on September 16, 2013 1:19pm
thank you very much! btw what kind of optics do you use?
all the shots i presented here were made with manual m42 mount screw fixed lens (old Soviet Union and Japanese ones).
