This is great, Heather. The title made me remember this: http://www.condenaststore.com/-sp/Las...42025_.htm

Awesome, Heather!

Thanks guys for your comments! Angela - Wow, I never thought to interpret that thing into something (other than my own psyche, of course) but it does kind of look like an ant now that you mention it. That's interesting that you see it as mean, it changes the whole point of view of who is going to help who. Geoffrey - that's hilarious! Deepti - I'm glad you like it :)

I really love yours abstract perception of things :D great !!!
Óscar S. Cesteros commented on November 5, 2011 11:25am
your abstract work is very deep and complex, but it has an interesting turning when you put the words. In my opinion, the words converts it into to figurative scope. Great !!!

Thanks Aleksandra and Óscar !

I just finished reading Kafka's "metamorphosis" and this piece just so happens to remind me of the story! The title and the fact that the object looks like a large bug, really fits into the plot. I don't know if you've read it, but Metamorphosis deals with a man who wakes up as a large insect one day (of course, there are more layers to the story because of it's Modern influences etc, ) and this piece is perfect for that story! :D

Maribel, you're making my day - what a great feeling to remind someone of Kafka! Óscar - you are right, I've been adding the text to anthropomorphize the abstractions, I'm so glad that comes through.
Will Santino commented on November 5, 2011 4:58pm
the text and the picture are so awesome together! love this piece, Heather!

I love the emotion coming from your work... It's very hard to describe, just powerful. :)
Heather Goodwind commented on November 23, 2011 5:54am
Thanks Miss Littlemess (cute name!) I have to admit that I am pretty emotional - and I do think that it works out better for me to channel it into my work rather than my day to day life. :)
