The Temptation of Eveby Rogue Bard Media
ABOUT THE ART
I experimented like crazy with this piece. I was initially inspired by Renaissance paintings of Adam and Eve, the deliberate poses and sharp, smooth edges of every surface painted. Eve is posed with the Serpent wrapped around her left arm, and a dove representing God on her right hand (not that she’s paying attention).
As I moved away from the center of the painting and realized I was never going to make watercolors look like oil paints, however, I became a bit more Impressionistic with my brush strokes. I finished it off with trippy rainbow stripes from “The Yellow Submarine” and modern paint splotches and weathering.
15×18 watercolor by Krystal Frazee.
