ABOUT THE ART

How often do we find ourselves feeling trapped? Yet, our efforts too often seems futile. ~ The concept for this painting came from an interesting series of sculptures I found near Washington, DC.

Hi Jaina. The sculpture was near the National Harbor in the DC area. I originally took a photo of it but I didn't feel the surrounding infrastructure (buildings, piers, etc) helped portray the idea I had. Given that, I painted it with a different background to show isolation. Hopefully the concept of what I had in mind worked out well. ~ Tony
