Stationery Cards

Anthony M. Davis (anthonymdavis)

Waves of Wool

by Anthony M. Davis
DESCRIPTION

Set of folded stationery cards printed on bright white, smooth card stock to bring your personal artistic style to everyday correspondence. Each card is blank on the inside and includes a soft white, European fold envelope for mailing.

ABOUT THE ART

At first glance this image appears to be strong ocean waves being tossed by the wind. In reality, this image is freshly-dyed wool.

Thank You. Skye, Shawn and DiDi. :-)

Yes...I've been a bit MIA lately. So much going on lately...finishing up an order for a NY art buyer, building an Etsy shop...lots of things. I should work at the zoo. Sometimes I feel like I'm juggling monkeys. :-)
Geoffrey Agrons commented on February 20, 2012 10:12am
Vivid, disturbing, but apt imagery, those juggled monkeys. They've been known to sling their poo.
Geoffrey Agrons commented on February 20, 2012 10:13am
Wonderful photograph, by the way.
Anthony M. Davis commented on February 20, 2012 10:16am
Hi Geoffrey...You're right. Waaaaay back when I was growing up in San Diego I decided to go for the "Zoology" merit Badge when in the Boy Scouts (back in the days when I had hair). I figured anybody could do the camping or hiking thing....I wanted to do something different.

So, I worked at the San Diego Zoo for a couple weeks feeding animals (and cleaning up after them). There was one Gorilla named Albert who could fling that stuff like a professional pitcher. :-)

All that's missing from this lovely image is the roaring sound and the sea spray on my face....
Tracey Tilson Photography commented on February 21, 2012 6:30pm
P.S. I love it when the eyes and mind is tricked like that..... when imagination is stronger than reality. Baaaaaaa Baaaaaa :-)
