I got to thinking about the transformation, how he goes from being a normal skinny guy, to huge green monster. Then this idea hit me.
Using increasing weights of type, coupled with a flesh colour gradually changing to green to represent the metamorphosis.
These are all words I associate with The Hulk, from getting angry as David Banner to wanting to smash puny humans as The Hulk!
