Had this image in mind since I did the others. Took some time to find all the components.
Being an (art) educator and a father, I have strong passions towards the subject of teaching. Doing research into the methodology, psychology and make-up of the education system I wanted to depict it in this dark and cynical image.
Education has not changed much in the 200 years+ it has been around. It was created to enforce the mechanical teaching of the three 'R's to children. To prepare them for life in capitalist working environments. Art has never been credited as a worthy educational tool, and I depicted the absence in the form of the drawn man in the bottom right corner.
The image portrays a great deal of metaphor, but hopefully puts across the simple notion of the factory method of our prehistoric education system.
