I spent last summer in East Harlem, NY. During that time I produced a series called Product of my Environment. In the first 3 days I was immersed in the culture of this neighborhood and painted a piece on my experience from one block in the neighborhood.
On 105th & Lexington, Puerto Ricans are very, very present! You see it, taste it, feel it.
