I like how you state that you're hoping to one day have a consistent style. The way I see it, people who don't stick to doing one thing show how versatile they are as artists, their willingness to explore and the layers in personality they express through imagery. Don't wanna come across haughty or anything, but I think it's cool you're both honest and humble about it.
@Owen -- First, thank you. I often get discouraged because many of the illustrators I admire (who are the same age as me) have already settled into a distinctive and recognizable style. Besides that, I generally feel like I am playing catch-up in terms of my artistic style/skills, because I did something else in college (architecture) that left very little time for painting or drawing for myself. As far as humility goes, it's hard to avoid it when I am still learning a ton with every piece I do. :P Thanks again for commenting.
@Efi: Thank you! When I first started using watercolors, I had a hard time getting really saturated colors, so I think nowadays I tend to go overboard. :D
Wow, there's been a lot of new comments! Thanks so much for your kindness! @RichCaspian -- that would be nice, yes. :) It's about time to start on my holiday card for this year. . .
