This month I am participating in my first art show! The group I paint with puts on a show at the Center in Council Bluffs every year with plein air pieces from the previous year. During the warm months, they go out every week or every other week to a spot within about a 50 mile radius. I was able to join the group of 4-6 local artists in September and have been painting with them since then. This year we painted at an apple orchard, a lavender farm, the Durham Western Heritage Museum and the Rose Theater in Omaha, several parts of the Loess Hills State Forest, a cemetery, and a few places where we just pulled over by the side of the road.

Eight artists are exhibiting a total of 113 pieces at the show, which runs through April 30 at 714 Main Street in Council Bluffs, Iowa. After the show I will put up my unsold originals (framed and matted) on Etsy.

Thank you! Now I just have to get bunches of notecards (and perhaps prints?) ready to sell at the artists' reception in two weeks. . .
