I was working on this for 27 days (ack!) Admittedly there were a few non-working days in there, because of the holidays. I think I probably did about 6-8 hours of research and 20-22 hours of actual sketching/inking/painting.

@kyle skor -- This is an illustration for a story I had in mind; the woman on the horse is someone who still lives in the traditional way, while the man in the doorway has either chosen himself or had chosen for him by his parents a more modern lifestyle, farther away from their families and heritage.
