trying to keep life drawing interesting. . .
trying to keep life drawing interesting. . .
I know I have a long way to go with regards to sketching figures easily, but somehow it's really hard to resign myself to doing the same kind of drawing over and over again (particularly when there are some super talented charcoal/pencil artists at the sessions every week. I'm not going to produce drawings as good as theirs, so why not try a different medium?) So every time I go down to life drawing at the Hotshops, I find myself trying to figure out something new to bring to each pose. In my defense, I think separating the shadows into colors by tone was a fun way to practice seeing the tones.

The first one was definitely my favorite; the others are all right but have a few issues.

In conclusion: COLORS.
This one's a little too wide through the torso. Is it just me or is drawing up someone's nose really difficult?

MEGA CALF! Ah well, I still have a lot to learn and practice.
