We've integrated Society6 with Twitter so that all of you can promote the posts you make on Society6 to your twitter accounts. It's very simple just click on the link on the right of the Post page http://www.society6.com/post and add your twitter credentials. NOW, every time you make a post on Society6 it will send an update to your Twitter account with the link to your post. Try it out!

Our first grant is up and open for all to apply. Applying is super simple, just select your studio and click "submit application". YES, it is that simple. you'll need to get verified as a user first, but this is very simple as well and you only need to do it once. have fun!

We're extremely excited today, our much anticipated grant system is complete. We've launched it with a small money grant from us (S6) that is open to all artists, from any country in the world.

After much discussion about how the system would work, we decided to make it open so anyone can "Give a Grant" of either money or opportunities. Applicants will be nominated by their peers, and the grant giver will decide the winner and award the grant. We started with this first grant just to test the waters and make sure everything is running smoothly, you will see new grants popping up shortly. We hope to continue to see grants of all kinds with different focuses, opportunities and amounts.

As usual please share your thoughts and ideas about Society6 grants.

We're planning on working in some twitter integration soon. We'll be looking at all the actions from Society6 that make sense to broadcast out as tweets from you. At a minimum any posts you make can be reposted onto your twitter account as tweets, with a link back to the full post on Society6. We understand how important it is for all of you artists and creatives to promote your work and inspiration to the widest possible audience and we certainly want to make that happen for you. Feel free to leave a comment and tell us what you think of the twitter integration and how important you think it is.

Along with monetary grants, we will also be providing the platform for individuals and organizations to give opportunities as grants, like printing services, promotion, artist in residence, gallery space and anything else our creative members come up with. If you have any ideas or know anyone with an opportunity or resource that would make a great grant on S6, please let us know. We have a bunch of great opportunities lined up and will be rolling them out very soon.

When you follow a person or Subscribe to a Studio the most recently active post from this person or Studio will be added to Your Society.

A quick post to highlight the efforts of one of our members, Daniel James Diggle. He's invited other illustrators from S6 to do a collaborative illustration project. He set up a Studio to make it happen so if you are interested head over to the Studio and request to be a member (click on Members, then click "Apply for membership") Once you're approved you can make posts too.
