Painted Attenuation (Signal Loss 2): Video and Studies
Video: An animated sequence of 64 unique still images (studies for large scale billboard sized paintings), each shown for 0.1 second, with the sequence repeated to fill 3 minute run time (minus opening and closing titles). Soundtrack: electronically manipulated recording of rain.

I think of the billboard sized paintings as the primary focus of this project and am looking forward to finding a studio/factory that is large enough to paint the final versions (which is why dimensions are TBD). Cheers!

Wonderful work Wayne but I did find the electronic rain started to mess with my head at about 1.40 seconds!!:))

Thanks, Ema, RvHART, Michael, Heather, and Donuts! Yeah... the image really dances around in a very hypnotic way and the white noise audio is quite relaxing too. It was important to me for the sound to be a bit softer than the hiss of a TV... rain proved to be a close enough sound, but had a more organic quality. ;-)

At times, I heard birds from a rainforest…the large painting looks great in the gallery!
