I was taken by a few things as I read and scanned the images. First, Leah and Jackie are just simply beautiful to me. The size of the images was engaging in a new way...not limited by S6 portals...and as such, more accessible. I often feel my work is minimized by the S6 constraints and so much detail is lost at that scale. I think your work suffered as well by the thumb images S6 provides.
Second, I was struck by your wife's discussion of art. Coming from a design background (I studied and practiced landscape architecture for a number of years), I think I have viewed 'art' as distinctly different from design. Many 'artists' here are really 'designers' in my view of it. Neither is better or worse, but play a distinctly different role in society. To beautify or decorate is design; to illuminate or articulate is art. I find I do both depending on my mood and luck; but rarely concurrently.

The genius about your series is that you combine both in a meaningful and attractive way.

I enjoyed earning more about the series. Thanks for posting it here.

Thank you, everybody, for taking the time to watch the video and for writing your kind comments.

Brenda, I totally agree with your insights. Thanks for sharing them here. We all are seeking a place where we belong... where we fit and are provided opportunities to excel. I too personally find S6 limiting... for that matter, I believe that using the Internet as a primary means to deliver content is limiting my potential to learn and prosper as well.

I'm very excited about my future... soon I'll be exhibiting new large scale work in galleries and museums, and learning from the exchange of ideas that take place between the interested public, curators, art dealers, and other artists. Ultimately, money has never been a motivating factor for me as an artist... I've always been driven by the goal of contributing to a larger cultural dialog. Thankfully, I'm back on track to participate in that constructive conversation.

Thanks again for your support!
