Nothing to see here… yet

Originally from Tampa, Florida I moved to NYC in the summer of 2001 to focus on my art and to absorb all the wonderful art & culture this town has to offer. My paintings are built up layers of geometric patterns in bright colors inspired recently by American Indian weaving and Anni Albers' textile designs. Through trial and error the paintings slowly develop into a simple and bold end. I really love working with fluorescent and other intense colors to create vibration or a sort of composed dissonance. Things are just off kilter for you to notice, but not be bothered by it. I make sure to leave some traces of layers past so you get a sense of process and thought. joined Society6 on June 5, 2012
