Nothing to see here… yet

I've been scribbling poetry for as long as I could maneuver a writing utensil of any sort - whether that be a finger in the dirt or a nubby old pencil. I've also had a keep appreciation for the visual arts. Combining these two passions together, I've fused my own unique perspective of both. I do enjoy engaging current trends as well as exploring my own ideas. The latter usually triumphs, though you will see a bit of both. Who am I? I am nobody, who are you? (Emily Dickinson reference, if you didn't catch it.) I create this pieces not for fame or majesty, but for release. I rely on the fact we all breathe the same air, and have similar experiences on this planet. So I'd like to suppose that I am not alone and I can connect with a life or two who has the same feelings that I do. And what are they? Not dark whatsoever, but perhaps a little brooding here and there. I touch on melancholy a bit, but only because it is the spice of life. But I do allow a glimmer of light to shine through as it's not solely where I've been, but where I'm going that matters the most. I've been led through some downright filthy crevices in life, but I've experienced the open blue sky as well. joined Society6 on September 24, 2012
