Nothing to see here… yet

My main focus as an artist is to create a bright, colorful and clean looking painting that lifts the viewers mood. I want you to see my artwork from across the field at a show, or out of a row of tents. My goal is for my artwork to grab the viewer and connect on a subconscious level. Simply put... I just want your eyes to like it. But thats not why I create it... I am not sure how I stumbled into my style to be honest. But, I am sure it has something to do with my somewhat OCD tendencies. Wanting every line to be perfectly clean and in a row. Its chaotic at times but I think that's why I love it. Its simple to me; but its also complex. I have always loved color. I remember as a child; my parents would let me pick out my own school clothes. It almost became a problem. I remember on the first day of school one year having on yellow pants with a purple shirt, red suspenders, and bright green Chuck Taylors. I have the picture. Its on the wall at my parents house. As haunting as that is, I love it. Its made me the artist I am now. I try not to boss my style around too much. It won't lead in the wrong direction. Every few months or so I notice my style evolving and changing shape a bit. So I am really excited to see what comes out next. Thanks for being a part of my artistic voyage. joined Society6 on April 23, 2012
