Stephanie Anne Design
I am a graphic and surface pattern designer and am currently living in London. Born in England my family immigrated to New Zealand when I was 7 years old and it had always been my dream to return to the UK and see what life could have been like for me.
I graduated from Unitec with a Bachelor of Design in 2008 and had begun working as a print designer in my final semester at a newly founded company called Designline Collections (now re-named Lennox). Following my end of year exhibition I was contacted by the popular New Zealand owned homeware company Jason Products about a potential job role and within a month was working for the company. My role here consisted of designing and developing prints and illustrations for a range of homeware products such as placemats, mugs and tea towels. Two and a half years later, with a great start to my career, I decided to pursue my dream and moved to London. Within three weeks I had landed a two week contract with British hertiage brand Daks London which led to a job offer with the company before my contract was up.
With Daks I was fortunate enough to travel to Paris, Tokyo, Milan and Lake Como as well as attend London Fashion week to work behind the scenes biannually.
My work with Daks is predominently print and pattern based creating artwork for show fabrics, wallets, bags, foulards and handkerchiefs and most notably for designing a collection of foulards to be sold at the Coronation Festival at Buckingham Palace this coming July.
