About The Artist

This project is a small attempt at bringing the life of our beloved ninth Guru into the consciousness of all people of all backgrounds today to commemorate the 400 year anniversary of his birth on Vaisaikh Vadi 5, 1678. Lesser heard stories from Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s life were chosen and presented to half a dozen contemporary artists from around the world to come up with new, detailed, and powerful artworks depicting key events from the life of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Through this initiative we hope we can all join in admiring, celebrating, commemorating, and contemplating the life and ultimate sacrifice of our Ninth Guru.
