It all started before kindergarten... my mother made a box for me out of an empty Mother's Oats cereal container. She cut the large side to open like a cigar box, and covered it all in Christmas gift wrap. Several sizes of odds and ends of many crayons were mixed together in that container. My first awareness of solar energy came when I left that crayon box on the front steps in the sun. Some of the crayons kept their "odd bent" from then on.
My mentor in art school was Robert (Bob) DeWeese. He had great words of wisdom, such as, "Don't read the articles in ARTFORUM, just look at the pictures".
I was born in Montana in 1951.
