Amanda Gay

See more at amandabeararts.com! Inspired by all the good in life (cotton candy, pandas, fireworks), Amanda creates whimsical work sold as prints, originals and textiles. She grew up among the cornfields of Pennsylvania, and moved to the grit and glam of New York City when she was eighteen. After getting a Bachelor’s degree, she decided that “the real world” wasn’t for her, and has since dedicated her post-grad career toward Amanda Bear Arts. Professional accomplishments: I have been commissioned for illustrations, logos, paintings, tattoo flash and pet portraits. I’ve painted a 16 ft mural in Manhattan, sold at street fairs and art festivals, and was recently exhibited in a solo, three-month show at The Upright Citizens Brigade in Manhattan's East Village. Personal accomplishments: I was voted “most artistic” in my high school class. I've jumped into the ocean with all of my clothes on, hung off of a skyscraper (legally) and flipped a jet ski. I’ve worked in an animal shelter, taking care of lost and abused dogs. I’m a cotton candy connoisseur. I love adventure and making memories. I’ve gotten headaches from smiling too much.
