Amy Hussein

Born in Manhattan (NY), to a Dominican Mother and Lebanese father. Before pursuing her career in Art, she obtains a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the PUCMM in Santo Domingo in 2012. In the same year she also earns an associate's degree at Tompkins Cortland Community College in Ithaca, NY. In 2013 she earns a full tuition scholarship for the Summer Intensive Program at Parsons where she studies 2D Animation. In 2014 she earns her Associates Degree in Fine Arts/Illustration from the Altos de Chavon School of Design.

In 2014 she funds Casa Quien, an Art Space & Boutique in the Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo with the objective of becoming a platform of support, diffusion and promotion for the emerging art scene, both local and international.

In 2015 she takes part in the first issue of "Curando Caribe", a curator formation program designed by the Centro Leon and Centro Cultural de España. For this program only 15 applicants were selected. In November 2015, Casa Quien is nominated for an award by the Dominican Critic Association (ADCA) in the category "Institutional Initiative".

Amy lives and works in Santo Domingo. ​
