Andy Thompson Photography NZ Philosophy:

My photography is about sharing images with others, hoping to inspire and take the viewer into that moment. I love the use of natural light and minimising the amount of processing. Apart from that, what you see is what it would be like if you were there.

I live with my partner Jo and three dogs, that have three very different personalities. Molly is the excited, yet not so bright, sweet girl. A loyal Cairn-terrier who sprints.... but often is not sure why? Basil is another Cairn, more golden than Molly; Molly by the way, is blonde. Basil believes he is king... or a cross between Tigger and an old man pottering, that wants to pee on every lamp post. He is brave, ferocious and a wild growly wolf.... until he stands on a pebble awkwardly and yelps! Oh Basil! Lastly there is Patch. A smooth Fox terrier, 12 years old and sharp as a knife, shrewd as a lap dog could ever be. Patch is primarily my partners dog - Jo.

I love taking photos and there are many stories behind these I love to share. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I love doing them. And maybe it might inspire you to go out, explore our beautiful country, the world and take care of it. Take action on being custodians of our only planet we live on.
