About "One Way Or Another"
About "One Way Or Another"
We’ve teamed up with Society6 and Club Mumble to curate our second Collection in support of Contributor www.wearecontributors.com - an initiative that aims to give skateboards to disadvantaged youth.

Building on the success of last year's group show “Smile On Your Brother” http://www.society6.com/studio/contri...er_Artshow which featured the likes of Thomas Campbell, Andy Jenkins, Matt Irving, Parra, and 50 more talented artists, “One Way Or Another” plays upon the personal nature of a skateboard.

Through Society6, we (a group which includes Annie Lam (Contributor), Mike Giles (www.furnicreations.com), Bob Kronbauer (clubmumble), Sandro Grison (www.colormagazine.ca), Andy Jenkins (www.bendpress.com), and Justin Cooper (Society6) will be curating 25 artists/collectives from around the world to create original boards that will be sold through Contributor, with all proceeds going directly back to getting skateboards to kids across Canada. What makes this project unique is that rather than people buying a finished piece of your artwork, supporters will instead pre-purchase your time to make a board especially for them, so when it arrives it's an awesome surprise, kind of like a familiar chocolate with a hidden tasty center!

If selected to contribute, you must commit to creating a maximum of 10 boards from the blank decks that we will send you at our cost. You will have 4 weeks to complete the artwork for all of the boards that you sell, before sending them to the buyers directly using pre-paid shipping information that we will provide for you.

You must also submit one (1) hi-res digital file that will be part of the “One Way Or Another” Collection on Society6. The collection will feature the work of all contributing artists and be made available for purchase as art prints, iPhone and Laptop Skins, and t-shirts. In addition to a $50 per board stipend, you will also receive royalties from every one of your products that is sold through the Collection for as long as it is available.

For every product that sells from the “One Way Or Another” Collection, Society6 will donate $3 to Contributor to further the cause!

And, if you're looking to buy a board and help support Contributor, just hold tight. We'll be unveiling the full list of artists in the next couple of months.

What dibec said, ;-)
It would be a great follow-up to photograph the decks with their new owners in their new home(s).
