A barefoot artist - designer, artist, creative adventurer. Back in 2000, Pam Wingard left corporate America to make art and stay home with her two boys. She founded a stationery company called Cupcakes and Cocktails – A Paperie, where she created cute party invitations and stationery for children and adults. Her designs were also on products by Doodlebugs Infant Products Company and Provincetown Papers. The business grew as her invitations and cards sold in retail stores from California to Florida to New Jersey. The more it expanded, the more time she spent on the manufacturing side and the less time she spent designing, so she began another journey. She started to paint. She had a solo show and expanded to galleries in the Carolinas. She still liked to draw so she began designing art for products. That art expanded from stationery to books, to fabric, gifts and home décor. Now she paints, she draws, she writes, all from her home studio in North Carolina. She authors her blog abarefootartist.com, where she writes about art, design, food, travel and living a relaxed, creative lifestyle.
