"I am driven to making a positive difference in the lives of others while encouraging self worth, and perseverance." Illustrator, printmaker, friend, dancer, tea drinker, candy coated cup-cake lover.
Alexandra Johnson is an illustrator from Grand Rapids, MI. Originally from a small farm town, she realized her need to create at a young age. She finds inspiration in the beautiful things in everyday life, bright colors, sweet treats, and the people that surround her. Her work is composed from subjects and feelings which reflect the honesty and beauty of the human spirit, growing up and coping with the everyday trials that life gives us, learning to overcome and seeing the beauty in things. Her work can be seen in a variety of different platforms, mainly through traditional mediums like oil paints, watercolor, charcoal, ink, and most recently through different printmaking methods. She has a strong love for painting, lollipops, crayola, and developing a more concise style in her work.
