Carla Dearman is a Vancouver based artist and a recent graduate of the Emily Carr Institute. She works primarily in Painting and Drawing but she also enjoys Performance, Collaborative work, weaving tall tales, and spinning in circles.

I like to think of my work as a conversation between the world that I see when I close my eyes and the world that surrounds me when they are open. I believe that visual perception is often heightened by dream or hallucination and is no less ‘real’ than any other visual stimulus and it is in these internal spaces that I find the most curious things…”
