About Hotel Figueroa
One of the longest-standing hotels in Downtown Los Angeles, Hotel Figueroa is an iconic beacon of progress in an ever-evolving city and boasts a rich history deeply rooted in the women’s movement in Los Angeles. Following a dazzling, restoration inspired by its original 1926 Spanish Colonial splendor, the hotel has re-emerged as a sophisticated and singularly storied haven in L.A.’s cultural epicenter. Embracing age-old hospitality trends, Hotel Figueroa’s new chapter is one of restoring the art of hospitality in a city that thrives on impermanence. With 268 guest rooms & suites spread over 13 floors and its iconic coffin-shaped pool nestled within a botanical oasis in one of L.A.’s most dynamic neighborhoods, Hotel Figueroa is as renowned for its substance as for its style. First commissioned nearly a century ago as an exclusive haven for professional women travelers—a rarity at the time—the hotel’s roots as a bastion of social progress and creativity run deep. The historic Hotel Figueroa in downtown Los Angeles is pleased to welcome its new Q1 2020 Featured Artist—a continuation of the property’s ongoing quarterly Featured Artist Series, artist and illustrator Amber Vittoria.
