ERAERAERA

I am partially color-blind, so I have always been weary of color, often sticking to charcoal or ink drawings. Lately though, I have just been going for it, and people seem to respond to the colors I use-even when I accidentally paint a buffalo green or the ocean purple. I usually paint four full acrylic sheets of color, then sand them down to bring out the different layers of color and add a lot of texture. I then do the same process again on top involving the subject, but more detailed and specific. I do start out with an idea of what I'm going to paint, which guides my color choices, but then I let the textures and painting decide how the image will look. I love the idea of adding something great to the world that wasn't there before, that I can make someone happy just by painting them a picture. That's my nature. I want to give, I want people to be happy. I hope that some people like my work, and would enjoy having it around them. That's all. Thank you for reading.
