Photography, to me, is art that one captures through the eye of the camera. A picture, if you will, that has already been painted for us. I take on the approach that the act of taking a photograph is quite the same as a painter starting with a blank canvas. Every piece of art that you see is that artist’s interpretation of an object; an idea, or an emotion that is channeled through their brush, pencil, camera, or any other medium they choose to use.

What you will see my collection, is that all of the photographs have been channeled through me. I try to keep my focus on the magnificent simplicity within these photographs and although these images were created with a camera, they take on a certain type of depth and emotion that cannot be achieved by viewing an unchanneled photograph. My photographs are blank canvases and it is up to me to provide that depth and emotion. I hope you enjoy. E.K.
