Faith Evans-Sills is a painter, wife, mother and New York City transplant, making her home in coastal South Carolina for the past two years. She lives with her husband and three young children by the sea, where they enjoy exploring local beaches and maintaining a close connection with nature through frequent trips to wild places. Born in rural central Pennsylvania, Evans-Sills’ multilayered aesthetic was shaped through living abroad, in Argentina, as a child. Her paintings speak about the nuances of love, experience and a personal mapping of the world. She graduated with a BA in Painting from Skidmore College in 1995 and after traveling across the US and Mexico for a year, spent the next 15 years living in New York City. There she earned her MFA in Painting at Parsons School of Design in 2002 and has shown her art at galleries around the Northeast. When she’s not in the studio you’ll often find her biking around her neighborhood, searching for adventures, running creative retreats for women and spreading inspiration.
