Like the novelist writing fiction, life experience propels me to the ultimate in my liberal arts background - art. My autobiography would include a passion for writing. The adaptive roles I've chosen (or perhaps have chosen me) span from college to creating narrative from historical research for curriculum development to highly technical writing for legal and financial services positions while managing people and process. My background is in the liberal arts milieu together with a masters in finance. While the arts have always beckoned me, my husband, my job and two sons were my priority. Grown and on their own for some time, I now am able to respond to what has always been in my heart and surely in my DNA. I am most drawn to the French and American Impressionists and to the contemporary style in the later works of Wolf Kahn - the former, for their unerring march towards focus on brush stroke and play of light and the latter on the imaginative colors of landscapes turned upside down which are like no other. My work is to find collaboration in the discovery and light in the representational but more particularly in the impressionistic and abstract. When I think of creativity it is about possibility and connection. A lifetime can pass us by without experiencing the pleasure of the process. Inspirational works of art can touch many lives as no other nonverbal form of communication can. My hope is to form a kinship with you as we, together, find inspiration.
