iemene

Graduated in Fine Arts since 2014, artist since ever. She studied her degree in Cuenca, from Universidad de Castilla-la Mancha, and specialized in Typography in Eina School in Barcelona. She usually develops her artistic works in drawing, illustration and street art. Her works about street art are remarkable, having developped projects, researchs and received two prices (Think Big’s Fundación Telefónica scholarship in 2013 and Ray Ban En- vision award in 2014). She has worked as a graphic designer in Madrid. Nowadays she is developing her career as a freelance artist. iemene is Isabel Martínez Nieto’s pseudonym, formed from her name’s capital letters pronounced in Spanish (I.M.N.). The same way the media and spies say the name and surname of an anonymous person. Matters like the environment, pop culture and consumption and the clash between both are the most used in her personal work. Her consciousness about global issues (pollution, massive production and poverty in a resume) inspires and shapes her artistic pieces. Giving to the public a rich message from a flashy and attractive perspective. iemene joined Society6 on February 13, 2017
