Jackart - a traveling canvas

Since 1995, the danish artist Johnny Jack Hansen's work have taken a new direction influenced by his travels to the Far East and Malaysia, where he has built a number of significant artist friendships. He always painted oceans, but with friendships across continents and cultures, oceans gained new vitality and new symbolic meaning. Not least because Johnny Jack Hansen with his Malaysian friend, the painter and academy member Ahmad Shukri Elias has initiated an artistic symbiosis, as the world had never seen before. During a travel in tropical island nations these two artists share their impressions and both paint on a single canvas! Danish scientists documented in 2009 traveling with expedition ship "Vædderen", the organic processes in the oceans save the world from much of atmospheric CO2 excess.
