Jorge Mascarenhas was born in Boston, Massachussets. Since the age of seven he was selling his famed elementary school comic called "Ferinhas (Little Beasts)." His major artistic influences are Nordic, Post-Impressionists and Japanese artists. His work has be...en honored by the New York Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, American Illustration, 3x3 Magazine and Illustration West Annuals. In addition, he's been awarded a Silver Medal by Creative Quarterly, included in Lüerzer's Archive 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide book and featured in Communication Arts Fresh. He currently resides in Alameda, California.
