LINDBERGH NAMINGHA Berlin, Germany A self-taught artist from Arizona. Lindbergh (Lim) as he wants to be called, comes from an artistic family, including the famous Hopi Painter, their grandfather, Otis Polelonema. He began his drawings and paintings at the early age during the babysitting times by their grandfather. Lindbergh or, say Lim, is a Hopi Indian born in 1959 in Arizona on the Hopi Indian Reservation. Has an Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies from the Central Texas College. His works are in Acrylics and mix media, and depicts in brilliant colors his traditional and contemporary designs of the Hopi, which includes symbols of the Kachinas, elements of nature, abstract landscapes and pottery designs, and thus gives expression to the colorful, fasinating life of the Hopi and their culture. His works were featured in the summer of 1988 at the Tulsa Oklahoma Indian Arts Expo, in 1989 at the Northern Arizona Museum Hopi Show where one of his works received an Honorable Mention and in 1995 at the Native American Art Exhibition in Lawrence, Kansas where one of his works was sold within 3 minutes after the opening. He has also shown his works in several museums and theaters in Germany. His last show was in April 2014 at the Deutschordensmuseum GmbH in Bad Mergentheim, Germany. Lim lives in Berlin, with his wife and their Jack Russell terrier (the Monster) named "Sunny". Lindbergh Namingha joined Society6 on May 2, 2014
