Marco Pascalis

www.marcopascalis.it Born on 3 July 1953 in San Gavino Monreale (Cagliari), he obtained an Arts Teacher diploma in 1973 and then a Diploma in Applied Arts (wood section) in 1975 at the Istituto Statale d’Arte in Oristano. His artistic activity began in 1972, when he displayed his paintings for the first time in a collective art exhibition in his own village. He’s a member of “Gruppo Artistico Sangavinese”, a cultural group funded in 1980 with the aim of revealing the works of contemporary artists in their different aspects and styles, by organizing recurrent collective painting, sculpture and graphic art exhibitions. Many Sardinian artists take part to these cultural events which have so far gained appreciation and a great success. Several of his works are displayed in public and private collections both in Italy and abroad. A lot of magazines either at regional and national level have written about his artistic activity.
