Maria João Faustino

I´m a portuguese graphic designer with a Graduation degree in Communication Design by Lisbon University of Fine-Arts. I work in this job for about 8 years. For about 2 years ago, I started developing my "Graphic Collages" project. This compositions / collages have all rights reserved to Maria João Faustino. My compositions are created with (digital) vibrant color "collages" technique, which gives them their very own identity. I love this kind of registration for its spontaneity, rawness and numerous experimentation possibilities of deconstruction / construction. This kind of expression dilutes technique with concept, since it allows to transfer what I intend on several levels: sensory, aesthetic, conceptual and chromatic. The "collages" are made with graphics, typographic and photographic elements and snips. There is a careful combination of them to create balanced, dynamic and wide chromatic compositions, which invite the subjectivity. According to some authors, what leads some designers to be identified with this kind of registration is the passion for the visual manifestation of signs and graphics. There is a great influence of "Pop Art" and "vintage" graphics in my work. Recently I´ve been participating in several exhibitions with my "Graphic Collages" Project, including two participations in collective exhibitions in the Emerging dst Gallery, an individual exhibition at Fábrica do Braço de Prata and a participation in “Collagistas Festival” exhibition, in Berlin (collagistas.weebly.com). http://www.mjoaofaustino.com/collages https://www.facebook.com/graphic.collages Maria João Faustino joined Society6 on November 17, 2014
