Mary Milliken
Mary Milliken (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist and educator based in Ithaca, NY. Mary is a former in-house designer for MacKenzie-Childs, LLC, and has four years experience designing patterns and artwork for textiles and furniture. In 2016, she/they received an M.A. in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Based in upstate New York, her/their portrait paintings have been featured throughout New York State, most notably in the Rockwell Museum of Western Art in Corning, NY in 2020 and the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, NY in 2021. Mary creates body-neutral content promoting fat liberation and self-love on Tiktok under the name @meemflowers. She/they also founded @queerflx, a resource on Instagram for queer folks living in the Finger Lakes, NY region to help boost queer representation in a rural and predominantly cis-het, white area.
