Mom Left Me at Walmart. Again.

Project by Seattle Illustrator Jared Hines, with Frequent Collaborator Stephen Goodner. We set out to build a creative outlet for ourselves and our small, pen and ink sketches. The premise is simple: our sketches are indicative of a simpler time clashing starkly with our own abject absurdism. This manifests itself in anything from drunk super-heroes, to inanimate objects viciously chain smoking, to the macabre and misanthropic social norms our own counterculture has adopted. We wanted to showcase a sort of duality between living on the razor’s edge, and the waning nostalgia we all seem to have for a time period in which we didn't exist. Thank you for taking a moment to appreciate art due in part to early onset stagnation. Mom Left Me at Walmart. Again. joined Society6 on November 26, 2014
