Natasha Nelson

A Seattle based artist applying her personal interpretation complimenting the coalescence of pain and beauty. She was introduced to fashion design in high school, where she found the inspiration for her signature warped female form. She then attended the Art Institute of Seattle to pursue fashion design, emphasizing in lingerie and art. Upon realizing that her passion for fashion was more of the artist aspect than the actual design, she began pursing it wholly, leading her down a self guided path of curiosity and experiences. As she began to expand artistically, she had also acquired an adoration for narcotics that over years had soon turned into obsession. This caused a lot of self inflicted pain, depression and guilt but had never stopped her from continuing to paint. Painting allowed her to escape and build hope. Many of her pieces are a representation of her addiction, twisted mentality and chaotic lifestyle over a sporadic period of time. This last year she overcame her battle with drugs and has dedicated her growth and concentration towards the arts with a strong focus on evolving and expanding her visionary allure. Consistent in style and controversiality, each piece is exclusive and extrinsic. The beastial symbolism, exaggerated limbs and female exclusivity combine sexual dominance with delicate submission. An artist with a passion for beauty in morbidity and skewed perception of reality. Natasha Nelson joined Society6 on April 4, 2016
