About Paul Nelson-Esch /Expeditionary Club

Hi, my name is Paul Nelson-Esch, I am a Fashion Designer, Illustrator and Artist, living and working in Figueira Da Foz, Portugal.
Originally from South Africa, I moved to England and studied at the Berkshire College of Art and Design.
I then moved to London where I attended the University of Westminster (Harrow) achieving a first class BA Honours Degree in Fashion Design.

I have had 12 of my Fashion illustrations published in a book called "Fashion Illustration" published by Design Media Publishing in 2011.

I had my first Fashion show at the London Student Fashion Week and have had two of my Collections shown at the Casino, Figueira da Foz, Portugal.

One of my drawings, 'Skater Girls - The Girls' is being used on the Fox network television show, ‘The Mindy Project.’

I have exhibited my artwork in Amsterdam at the International Exhibition for Contemporary Art.

In London at Showcase Cities at Richmix and ‘The Brick Lane Gallery – The Annexe’ as part of their group exhibition ‘Art in Mind – Downtown.’

I had my first solo exhibition called ‘Modern Portraiture’ at the Centro de Artes e Espectáculos, in Figueira da Foz, Portugal.

I have exhibited twice at the LX Factory, Lisbon, Portugal in 2013 in a Exhibition of my artwork, illustration and clothing and included a Fashion Show.

I was featured in Maxima Portugal online and Moda Lisboa Daily Blog.

I exhibited my solo exhibition ‘Erratic’ @ Galeria Almedina, Coimbra, Portugal in 2014.

My artwork, fashion and illustrations are available at Republica - Loja Colaborativa, Figueira da Foz, Portugal.

My work is inspired by music, literature, cinema and pop culture.
It is all in the eyes and facial expressions.
Design references that are from the left of centre to the mainstream.
