Born in 1980 in Nysa, Poland. Lives in the United Kingdom since 2003.
Poet, writer, music producer, and photographer.
Founding member of the art collective Polish InvadArts, functioning in Leeds, UK since 2008 and Administrator of literature forum www.via-appia.pl.
Likes to think of himself as a poetic guerilla, with a dose of abstraction. Exposes darker side of human nature. Loves grotesque, but does not abandon serious stories.
As Roots Rat, he composes music that oscillates around anxious ambients, warm fluids and experimental, non-hermetic tones. He arranges sounds through the prism of rhythm empathy. It’s a purity of thoughts outside of the beat.
When photographing, tries to look from unusual angles, find unusual places and take an unusual approach. Prefers black & white, however does not neglect the colour.
Keeps a healthy distance to himself. When he stands in front of a mirror, he can barely see himself.
In his free time he:
- Plays a djembe. Sees the natural rhythm everywhere and continuously seeks it within himself.
- Rides a bike. Offroad. Doesn’t wear tight lycra shorts.
